Collaborative, Scientific, Compassionate
Discover the science and philosophy behind "Adventure Together" and how we build cooperative relationships between dogs and their humans.
The Collaborative Approach
Modern dog training has shifted away from old "dominance" or "pack leader" models. Science has proven that dogs are cooperative learners who thrive on clarity, choice, and positive motivation.
LIMA Compliant
We adhere to the Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive training standards recommended by top behavior associations.
AVSAB Aligned
We support the position of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior that positive reinforcement training is the most effective way to modify behavior.
Choice-Based Dynamics
By giving dogs agency and rewarding active choices, we develop reliable behaviors that last even in highly distracting environments.
Training Approach Matters
When you train with Adventure Together Dog Training, you aren't learning how to force your dog to submit. You are learning how to read their body language, manage their environment, and reward the choices that align with the behavior you want to see.
Our specialized coaching models teach you the mechanisms of operant and classical conditioning in simple, easy-to-use ways. We translate behavioral studies into practical methods that help you guide your dog through distractions in the real world.
Meet Your Coach
Adam Geltz
Founder & Head Trainer
Hi, I'm Adam!
I founded Adventure Together Dog Training because of my passion for the outdoors and my love for our canine companions. I wanted to share what I've learned to help dog owners learn effective training techniques while building confidence in their relationship with their four-legged friends so they can enjoy adventures together.
I have over 10 years of experience in the animal training and behavior industry. I have trained hundreds of animals of all kinds of species and led countless sessions teaching people how to work with their animals instead of against them. I have consulted with zoos and wildlife sanctuaries to help improve animal welfare and training programs.
I believe training should empower dogs and owners alike. Whether you are bringing home a brand new 8-week-old puppy, dealing with reactive barking in your neighborhood, or wanting to teach your dog how to hike safely off-leash or on a long-line, I am here to design a custom, stress-free plan for your family.
